CM Inaugurate and dedicates to people various projects at Kutch

Gujarat Chief Minister Mrs. Anandiben Patel today congratulated people to satisfy her with all-round developmental work in Kutch area through the public welfare approach by the State Government. Mrs. Patel dedicated 500 toilets and 500 bath-rooms which have been jointly constructed with Agrocell Industries, Safai Vidyalaya, Gandhi Ashram – Ahmedabad and Shroff Foundation to people at Dhordo of Kutch. Out of them 5 villages now have totally available with toilet facilities; due to this Mrs. Patel delighted and also made people understand regarding the need of toilet facilities in each home and exhorted that co-operation from people must be needed in a bid to totally provide Kutch district with 100% toilet facilities.

Mrs. Patel heartily appealed the Kutchi-Maadu to enlighten education at each home. She recollected her memories during her tenure as a Education Minister of the state, at that time though education level in women was very less, she tried to start primary and secondary schools with the co-operation of the people. Mrs. Patel also honoured the ladies-students who are perusing B.A. and the other five girls who have enrolled in higher education.

During this occasion Mrs. Patel inspired women to play their parts in making Gujarat Malnutrition-Free state.

Mrs. Patel dedicated health centre to the people. This health centre will be benefited to the villages included in Dhordo Group Gram Panchayat, all the people hailing from Bunny area and the travelers coming here during Rannotsav.

With the initiation of the first branch of Dena Bank in the interior village Dhordo (bunny) of Kutch, about 3000 people staying 17 villages around will be benefited by the banking facilities. Previously people had to go around 40 km long distance in order to avail bank facilities. And to help people get rid of this inconvenience this branch today rightly inaugurated by our Chief Minister amid the celebration of Rannotsav.

Under BADP toilet facilities has been made available in as many as 17 villages situated along the border. Further on Mrs. Patel gave away a cheque worth Rs 3 crores for making available toilet facilities to the District Collector Mr. Mahendra Patel.

On this occasion Minister In-charge of Kutch Mr. Shankarbhai Chaudhary, Salt Industry MOS Mr. Tarachandbhai Chheda, Tourism MOS Mr. Jayeshbhai Radadiya, Welfare Minister of Socially and Educationally Backward Caste Department Mr. Vasanbhai Ahir, MLAs Dr. Nimaben Acharya, Mr. Pankajbhai Mehta, Mr. Rameshbhai Maheshwari, former MP Mr. Pushpdan Gadhavi, various Sarpanchs, District Collector and the Kutch people in huge number were present.
