Gujarat CM Attends Lok Samvad Setu at Dhanpur-devgadh Baria Taluka of Dahod District

Hon’ble CM Smt. Anandiben Patel attended Lok Samvad Setu at Dhanpur and Devgadh Baria talukas of Dahod district and satisfactorily resolved over 137 problems and issues faced by people of the region. CM Smt. Patel said that the government has initiated a unique approach to solving people’s problems by going to their doorsteps. This approach has been initiated with an aim to facilitate efficient and immediate solution to the problems presented by citizens. She further added that Lok Samvad Setu has become a positive and result oriented approach to solving people’s problems.

While informing citizens that the Lok Samvad Setu initiative would be organized every 4 months across the state CM Smt. Patel instructed officials to hold review meetings at regular intervals to monitor the progress of unresolved issues and also informed that at the next Lok Samvad Setu a review of the work done to resolve the issues presented during the current session would be done.

CM Smt. Patel talked about providing ample water to all regions of the state and said that to ensure availability of drinking water in Dahod district, permission has been granted for a Rs. 833 crore water supply scheme and work on the scheme would begin shortly. Considering the summer season CM Smt. Patel assured that water tankers would be provided in the regions where there is no other source of water and also a grass depot would be constructed wherever required in the district to provide fodder to cattle. CM Smt. Patel urged government officials to adopt a humane approach while dealing with the issues faced by the people and also requested the administration to ensure that basic infrastructure is provided to the people of the region.

During the Lok Samvad Setu, out of the total 137 questions put forth by the people, 65 questions were related to roads, and 34 questions were about increasing the depths of lakes and canals. CM Smt. Patel urged officials to form an action plan to resolve all the issues and obtain all necessary administrative permission before September 2016 so that the work on all these questions would be completed before March 2017. Moreover, she instructed officials to complete all necessary proposals related to increasing the depth of existing wells in Dahod district under the Manrega Yojana and begin the construction work as soon as possible. She also told officials to present necessary proposals for constructing roads in Dhanpur-Devgadh Baria taluka under the Mukhya Mantri Gram Sadak Yojan and urged concerned officials to put forth required proposals for works related to the provision of drinking water and recommencing work on stagnant water supply schemes in Dahod district before 15th of May. CM Smt. Patel also requested people who fulfill the required criteria to enroll in the MAA Annapurna Yojana.

On this occasion, MP Shri Jasvantsinh Bhabhor, District Panchayat President Smt. Ramilaben, MLA Smt. Chandrikaben Bariya, Secretary In Charge Smt. Sonal Mishra, Collector Shri M.A. Gandhi, District Development Officer Shri Satish Patel, and various other dignitaries remained present.
