Gujarat CM Dedicates Various Developmental and Public Welfare Works in Bharuch

Gujarat CM Smt. Anandiben Patel dedicated public development works worth Rs. 56 crore including the newly constructed Agricultural college and the beautification of ‘Matariya Talav’ having walkway, water sports & other amenities in Bharuch today. The beautification of the lake was done at a cost of Rs. 5 crore and will serve as an ideal picnic spot in the city.

Speaking on the occasion, Smt. Patel said that in order to relieve the grievances of citizens related to various issues like roads, water supply, education, and healthcare etc. the government has initiated direct dialogue with the people through Lok Samvad Setu which aims to resolve their problems and issues satisfactorily on the spot.

CM Smt. Patel also dedicated Agriculture College building constructed at a cost of Rs. 18 crore and affiliated with Navsari Krishi University. CM Smt. Patel expressed her delight on knowing that 35% students at college comprised of young girls who wish to look after their family and contribute to agriculture. CM Smt. Patel also accepted a donation of Rs. 6 crore from GNFC as a part of social responsibility to construct toilets in the district and also urged other businesses to allocate around 2% of their profits under social responsibility.

In addition to dedicating various development works including ITI building, police quarters, taluka substation & GEB public services center to strengthen public utilities in the district, grains were also distributed to the poor and needful under the Ann Brahm Yojana and the Antyodaya Ann Yojana. In another move to achieve ‘Housing for all’, CM Smt. Patel dedicated 100 affordable houses to beneficiaries of various schemes. A booklet ‘Vikas Vatika Pustika’ detailing the development story of the district was also unveiled by the Chief Minister.

On the occasion, Regional leader Shri Bharatsinhji Parmar, Bharuch District MLAs Shri Dushyantbhai Patel, Ishwarsinh Patel, Arunsinh Rana, Secretary in Charge Smt. Shahmeena Hussain and various other dignitaries remained present.
