Envisioning ‘Digital India, Digital Gujarat’, Guj CM apprises MLAs on mGovernance & Cyber Security

Gujarat Chief Minister Smt Anandiben Patel attended a seminar organized to apprise MLAs on e-Governance and m-Governance in simplified manner as part of ‘Digital India – Digital Gujarat’ in Gandhinagar today evening.

CM Smt Patel exhorted the present Gujarat MLAs to educate people about various e-Governance and m-Governance initiatives of the government, so that the citizens can have access to government services at just a click. She shared that in recent times, government departments have come up with several applications to extend better citizen-friendly easy access to services and also appealed to the citizens to take maximum benefit of such smart services being provided by the state government.

CM Smt Patel said that our PM Shri Modi has given four new development Mantras to the nation namely, Clean India, Skill India, Make in India and Digital India and added that the work has already been started in these fields and the country can now feel the revolutionary changes in the air.

CM Smt Patel told that it is our collective responsibility to realize the dream of ‘Digital India – Digital Gujarat’ in this ‘smart age’. She shared that the aim of ‘Digital India’ is to provide e- governance i.e. easy, economical and effective governance. She also defined ‘Smart Governance’ as an integration of Simple, Speedy and Sustainable governance.

CM Smt Patel also emphasised on the importance of m-Governance considering increasing number of mobile users in the state. She also said that social media can be used to create awareness about social issues. She praised the officials for including incorporate subjects like internet, cyber security, e-locker, etc. in the program and said that this seminar will be very useful in the endeavour of the state government in digitization of government services.

Speaker Shri Ganpatbhai Vasava, Ministers, MLAs, Chief Secretary Shri G. R. Aloria and many other senior officers remained present in this program.
