“It is really heartening that social organizations play the role of a family for such homeless girls” – Smt. Anandiben Patel

Gujarat CM Smt. Anandiben Patel today attended a marriage function of four girls of ‘Nari Sanrakshan Gruh’ and blessed the newlyweds on this occasion in Ahmedabad today in the evening.

Smt. Patel, in her speech, shared that the state government runs such Women Protection Home in almost every district where orphans and abandoned children and mothers are looked after. She added that education, health and even social responsibility like marriages are taken care of by the state government with the help of social organizations.

On this occasion, Smt. Patel shared that the organization who take responsibility of the marriage of such poor orphan girls, must collect enough information about the groom and his family. She also said that such marriages should be organized with the support of the community and should be celebrated with pomp.

The CM stated that the state government started collecting details of such girls above 18 years of age and started undertaking necessary procedures for their marriage. She happily informed that tremendous response is seen from the groom’s family for such girls. Appreciating the support of social organizations, she added that the state government gives a cheque of mere Rs.10,000 for such marriage, but charitable organizations play the role of a family and realize the dreams of such homeless girls.

Smt. Patel appealed to the members of the organization that their responsibility does not get over with the marriage of these girls, but they should keep in touch with them as to help them feel secured by a family.

Smt. Patel congratulated donors and officials of the Nari Sanrakshan Gruh for such exemplary task and added that this will inspire others to come forward for such humanitarian cause. She also wished the newlyweds for their happy marriage life.
