“State government is committed to provide necessary urban infrastructure” – Smt. Patel

Gujarat Chief Minister Smt. Anandiben Patel today dedicated developmental works like underground drainage system worth Rs. 13.76 crore and water supply system worth Rs. 8.86 crore developed under Swarnim Jayanti Mukhya Mantri Shaheri Vikas Yojana at Bavla town in Ahmedabad district.

Talking on the demand of fertilizer from farmers, the CM said that to get rid of the scam of direct supply of the government supplied urea to the chemical factories by the middle-man, Shri Narendra Modi had applied a unique idea of coating it with green coloured neem seeds, which also helps in increasing the yield. This can be helpful in income generation also as the government pays Rs.3 to 5 per KG for neem seeds which are abundantly available everywhere.

On this occasion, Smt. Patel stated that with this new underground drainage system, Bavla town will become hygienically clean. She said that considering the need of providing necessary urban infrastructure like drainage and water supply system, the state government has allotted a huge amount of about Rs.22,000 in the budget. She also told that the filtered water can be used for irrigation to assure that not a single drop of water gets wasted.

The CM shared that though the world celebrates ‘Environment Day’ for just one day, today, Gujarat needs to celebrate it round the year to recharge our natural resources. She also talked about the consequences of global warming and added that the state government takes various measures with the help of the society.

Smt. Patel in her speech shed light on the reality of the land acquisition issue, and also clarified the truth and myths. She stated that without land no development is possible. At the same time, the CM also shared that no land is now forcibly acquired by the state government for industrial purpose.

Talking about the division of land within the family, which has made earning from agriculture alone difficult, the CM said that the industrialization can help the farmers earn their livelihood. She also shared that to make our youth more employable, the government is focusing on skill development activities. The state government is planning to develop the state with a global vision, she added. She also said that the agitations spoil the future of our bright and talented youth. She went on to say that our state is able to attract investors because of our USPs like peaceful state, industrial peace, 24×7 electric supply, helping people, etc. She appealed to the farmers to change their mentality and to adopt methodical and scientific approach for better farming.

On this occasion Education Minister Shri Bhupendrasinh Chudasama, MP Shri Shankarbhai Vegad, MLAs, President of Jilla Panchayat, Collector, DDO, other dignitaries and people in large number remained present.
