Gujarat CM dedicates underground drainage system at Mansa in Gandhinagar

Gujarat Chief Minister Smt. Anandiben Patel dedicated underground drainage system worth Rs. 26.55 crore constructed as part of Swarnim Jayanti Mukhyamantri Shaheri Vikas Yojana at Mansa of Gandhinagar district in the evening today. She also handed over a cheque of Rs. 1,99,99,000/- to Mansa Municipality to undertake road resurfacing works.

On this occasion, Smt. Patel congratulated the President of Mansa Municipality and his entire team for getting the work of connection in about 3200 houses completed, which, she said, otherwise very challenging. She also praised the Municipality for making Mansa, a town with 100% in-house toilet facility. She commented that though huge amounts are given as grants for development and cleanliness, people do not contribute their share and thus results are not felt.

The CM expressed her happiness that the leaders of the society have taken up the very vital issue of toilets and the people of the state will get benefits of health and hygiene because of this mission. She talked about some strict steps the state government has taken in order to make healthy and happy Gujarat. Smt. Patel also shared that to prevent unauthorised supply of subsidised urea to chemical factories, the government has started producing neem-coated green urea, which also helps in increasing the yield and can be helpful in income generation also. The CM on this occasion launched a website, www.gnfcneem.in, developed for this purpose by GNFC.

The CM talked about state wide health check-up programs to be carried out by the state government to treat any kind of birth defects and ensure good health for children up to 6 years.

Smt. Patel stated that the state government fulfils all the demand of the people and provides quality infrastructure, but it is our collective responsibility to make our state clean and green.
